Nobody ever wanted a half page
They wanted to be seen, believed, quoted, or to be the name in their category. Start from the position you are trying to reach; the format is how it gets built.
Five positions
What are you actually trying to buy?
Each of these is a rung of The BUZZ Effect — the commercial ladder and the editorial argument are the same ladder.
Visibility
Get Seen
Be seen by the right people, repeatedly
The starting point, and the one most businesses skip past too quickly. Being seen once is a coin toss; being seen four times is the beginning of recognition.
Built from
- Quarter or half page, booked as a series
- Featured directory listing
- Newsletter placement
Credibility
Get Known
Be recognised as a real business, not a logo
Recognition on its own does not sell anything. Credibility is what happens when the name people half-remember turns out to have something behind it.
Built from
- Full page in a consistent position
- Sponsored editorial feature
- Bronze or Silver issue sponsorship
Authority
Get Heard
Be the one other people quote
An advert says you exist. A feature says you know the subject. A stage says other people already accept that you do.
Built from
- Editorial feature or long-form interview
- Speaking slot at our events
- Gold issue sponsorship
Influence
Get Recognised
Shape the conversation your market is having
At this point you are not competing for attention in the issue. You are part of why somebody picked the issue up.
Built from
- Cover partnership
- Inside front cover or double-page spread
- Platinum or Diamond sponsorship
Market Leadership
Get Opportunities
Be the name in your category
Every rung running at once, across a year, planned rather than booked. This is what a partnership is for, and it is not something you can buy an issue at a time.
Built from
- Headline sponsorship of the issue
- A presence in every edition
- Editorial and events planned across the year
Market leadership runs across a year rather than an issue — that is a partnership.

Artwork, briefly
Supply press-ready PDF, CMYK, 300dpi, with 3mm bleed and crop marks on anything full-bleed. Deadline is two weeks before press. If you have not got artwork, we will design it for you — free on Gold tier and above — and send a proof before anything goes to print.
Why a series works
One advert is a coin toss. Six touches is a decision.
This is the sequence a reader goes through before they ring you. Booking one placement buys you the first step and none of the rest.
- 01
They see the magazine
A printed issue lands, gets left on a desk, and gets picked up again. Print is slow, which is exactly why it sticks.
- 02
They find you in the directory
When they go looking for your category later, your listing is there — with the advert they half-remember attached to it.
- 03
They read you in the newsletter
Monthly email keeps your name in front of the same readership between issues.
- 04
They meet you at an event
Speed networking, an expo stand or a speaking slot turns a name on a page into a person they have shaken hands with.
- 05
They read your editorial
A feature or interview does something no advert can: it demonstrates that you actually know what you are talking about.
- 06
They buy — and tell someone
By this point they are not choosing between you and a stranger. They are choosing the business they already know.
